The Scooter Booties Story
Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about me and how Scooter Booties came to be. My name is Brittany, and I am the owner and creator behind this one-woman show. When I'm not sewing or mommy-ing, I like candle light dinners and romantic walks on the beach.....*snort*, I'm totally kidding. I like to binge watch drama TV shows (Law & Order SVU, whoop whoop!) and eat copious amounts of Ben & Jerry's Phish Food. I live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas in Northern CA, and am a single mom to a super rad tiny human whose hobbies include destroying my living room in 3.7 seconds, chasing our two old black cats, and giving hugs and toothy smiles to total strangers at the grocery store.
I started Scooter Booties in 2012 when I opened a shop on Etsy. I sold my first pair on my 25th birthday and did a little happy dance! What started out as a hobby quickly snowballed into a full blown business and career. I learned a lot in a very short amount of time about being a business owner, and even more about myself. It has been quite a wild ride! As of today, over 20,000 pairs of Scooter Booties have been hand traced, hand cut, machine sewn, cleaned, packaged, and shipped by yours truly.
I honestly LOVE what I do, and when I adopted my daughter in February of 2017, I realized just how blessed I am to be able to work at home and raise my daughter. Your business means so much to us, and I hope that shows in the attention to detail and quality of my product. Thank you for your support!
